100,000 refugees from Ukraine recorded in Poland

Poland will not accept refugees from the Middle East and North Africa since it has already accepted over 100,000 refugees from Ukraine.

This was stated by head of the Polish government Mateusz Moravetsky, reports Ukrinform.

"We uphold the position that "Right and Justice" party has formulated before the elections in 2015: we will not accept refugees to Poland, migrants from the Middle East and North Africa as it is our sovereign decision. Instead, on the eastern borders of the EU we are extremely involved in making all possible efforts to reduce the tension, since we have already accepted at least a few dozens or even more than 100,000 refugees from Ukraine without providing them with asylum, "Moravetsky said. And he stressed that Warsaw would not depart from its position and bring it to Brussels.

As indicated in the report, in 2016-2017 only 88 Ukrainian citizens received refugee status in Poland, and 239 Ukrainians - the status of a person in need of additional protection.
