President Poroshenko signs decree lifting sanctions against foreign journalists

He signed a respective decree approved by the National Security and Defence of Ukraine regarding personal sanctions. It was reported earlier that a group of foreign journalists were restricted entrance to Ukraine based on their work or public expressions of their views that were promotive of terrorist activity in this country, misinformed the international community about developments in the occupied territories of Ukraine, or persons who illegally crossed the border of Ukraine to infiltrate parts of the territory not controlled by the government. 44 journalists were on the sanctions list in September, but a number of them, including BBC reporters, were excluded after public dissent or concerns voiced by international organizations.
