Expert Olexander Piddubny: "Warsaw is satisfied with creation of a commission to resolve historical conflicts"

The important issues raised during the visit of Polish President Andrzej Duda to Ukraine are commented by Oleksandr Piddubny, a political and media expert, in the program "Today. Morning"on the Ukrainian radio.

"The President of Poland said that it was necessary to restore the Ukrainian monuments, to find and indicate who are buried there, to establish surnames, date of death. It looks a bit cynical on the part of Warsaw, because it is very difficult to find out the detailed data of people who have been long buried there.

This gives the Ukrainian side the right to act on the reciprocity principle and speak of similar attitude to Polish monuments on the territory of Ukraine. As for reducing of the "black list" of Ukrainians banned for entry to Poland, the President of Poland has little authority to do with it, and making such lists is in the competence of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
