Jordan lifts ban on imports of Ukrainian poultry

Jordan has lifted a temporary ban on imports of Ukrainian poultry products imposed in the middle of March over avian influenza outbreaks, according to a posting on the website of Ukraine's Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection.

The information has been received from the Ukrainian Embassy to Jordan.

As reported, in the middle of March 2017 Iraq, China, Qatar, Yemen and Jordan imposed a ban on supply of poultry from all territory of Ukraine.

Hong Kong, the EU, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) applied the regional principle. These countries ban shipments of poultry only from those Ukrainian regions where outbreaks of avian influenza were recorded.

Qatar, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates lifted the ban in June and July.
