45 militants' attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in past day

The separatists launched 45 attacks on the government troops in the past day, army operation press centre reported on Friday. They shelled the Ukrainian forces with mortars, grenade launchers, antiaircraft mounts, infantry weapons, machine guns, and small arms. Separatists focused their attacks near the strategic government-controlled seaport Mariupol close to the border with Russia, and in the vicinity of separatist-held Donetsk. One Ukrainian soldier was killed and six were wounded in the hostilities in the past 24 hours, according to the report. Ukrainian border guard service reported that eight of its officers suffered concussions and buildings and vehicles were damaged in an artillery attack on positions of the Donetsk border unit stationed in the township of Sartana.
