There is a true hot war, not frozen conflict in Donbas - Poroshenko

“Someone is trying to call this a frozen conflict. I emphasize that it is not frozen. It is a hot Russian aggression against my country,” Poroshenko stressed. According to him, since the beginning of 2017, Ukraine has lost 69 servicemen and over 420 have been wounded. The president stressed that there are over 700 Russian tanks, over 1250 artillery systems and over 300 Multiple Launch Rocket Systems in the Ukrainian territory occupied by Russian and separatist forces. Poroshenko noted that pressure on Russia must be continued to stop murder of Ukrainians. The President once again stressed the importance of global solidarity with Ukraine. “Sanctions are the mechanism to keep Putin at the table of negotiations. Putin pays a high price due to the sanctions,” Poroshenko said.
