Yatseniuk, Linkevicius discuss cooperation between Ukraine, Lithuania, and Vilnius's assistance to Kyiv

"The sides discussed specific projects of bilateral cooperation. Particular attention was paid to the subject of e-governance. Ukraine also needs Lithuania's experience in the development of a new regional policy, local self-government, and in the fight against corruption," reads the report posted on the website of Ukraine's government on Thursday. In addition, the Lithuanian minister talked about his country's political support for Ukraine and assured the Ukrainian PM of the continued readiness of the Lithuanian partners to work closely on issues such as peace and security, as well as reforms that are carried out by the government of Ukraine. Yatseniuk thanked Linkevicius for tangible and efficient support from the Lithuanian partners, for the contributions of Lithuanian experts into implementing new best practices for holding reforms in Ukraine, as well as humanitarian and financial assistance for the rehabilitation of the Ukrainian military, temporarily displaced persons and the restoration of Donbas, the government press service said. The Ukrainian premier also thanked Lithuania's constant support of Ukraine on the international arena as part of the UN, the EU, NATO and other international organizations. Linkevicius is currently on a working visit to Kyiv.
