Fifteen Ukrainians injured in road accident in Romania to back home soon, 16 compatriots still in hospitals

"According to Ukrainian embassy in Romania, another 11 people out of those affected in the road traffic accident went to Ukraine on their own transport today (the first group consisting of nine people went to Ukraine on August 9). A group of those affected (approximately 15 person) is gathering in the embassy. They will be sent to Ukraine this night via a bus provided by a corporate carrier," reads the Monday statement by Ukrainian Foreign Ministry. However, 16 Ukrainians in need of additional examination and treatment remain in hospitals of Bucharest. In addition, the preparations for transporting bodies of two deceased Ukrainian citizens are almost over. As a part of consular support of the accident, Ukrainian embassy continues to provide a comprehensive assistance to Ukrainian citizens and their relatives. As reported, at nearly 01:00 on August 9, a road traffic accident happened to a bus transporting 51 Ukrainians, including at least 25 children, on Constanta-Bucharest highway, 53 km from Bucharest. As the result of the crash, two Ukrainian citizens died, including one child. Another 48 passengers sustained injuries of various severity and were delivered to Romanian hospitals.
