Azerbaijan to supply oil for Kremenchuk oil refinery

“It is good news for both oil refiners and Ukrtransnafta which could use additional orders,” the report states. According to report, a considerable obstacle to this project was the replacement of the Russian process oil Urals contained in the Odesa-Kremenchuk pipeline with the Azerbaijani oil Azeri. “This obstacle has already been removed. Therefore, the Odesa-Kremenchuk pipeline, which used to stand idle, will resume operation, and Ukrtransnafta will add 1.3 million tonnes to the scheduled oil flow volume,” the press service noted. As reported, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev had a meeting in July 2016 and agreed to resume the Odesa-Brody crude oil pipeline project.
