EBRD President: Construction of Chornobyl NPP’s confinement financed by 40 countries

"The EBRD is very proud of completion of this historic project. We became the Chornobyl fund managers in 1997. The project implementation has become possible due to great work and dedication of many people from more than 30 countries. More than 40 governments of world countries have made contributions to the Chornobyl fund, having provided about 7 billion US dollars for the project," Chakrabarti said. He reiterated that the New Safe Confinement would be commissioned next year.
