ECHR accepts 20 individual lawsuits from Ukrainians on violations of their rights due to Crimea, Donbas occupation

Justice Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Petrenko has said, quote “Ukraine started a special project, in which we via our free of charge centres for legal aid of the Justice Ministry together with lawyers and human rights activists register violations of rights of every Ukrainian in Crimea and Donbas, and file corresponding individual lawsuits with the [ECHR] against Russia." Petrenko told journalists on Tuesday that 20 such lawsuits have already been accepted by the ECHR. He believes the process will be massive. The justice minister also said the state of Ukraine is now preparing a fourth lawsuit to the European court against Russia in connection with its aggression.
